Article I:
We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God,
and is wholly without error, as given by God in the original manuscripts. We
further believe that it is the final authority in all matters of faith and
practice.
Article II:
We believe in the one true and living God, the creator and sustainer of all things. He is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, and has revealed Himself to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, the Son, was born of the virgin Mary, therefore He is fully God and fully man. We believe "that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures: and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, "and has ascended to the right hand of God where He ever lives to make intercession for us. We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Trinity, fully God, and the one who has been sent to "reprove the world of sin, and righteousness, and of judgement."
Article III:
We believe that man was created innocent, that he was tempted by Satan and sinned; because of this, men have been born in sin since that time and are by nature the children of wrath. We believe that Satan is a personal devil who with his angels carries on the work of iniquity in this world. Sin is basically rebellion against God, and the end of sin is eternal separation from God.
Article IV:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin. He atoned for our sins by His vicarious death on the cross and rose again for our justification. All men are under condemnation through personal sin and escape from condemnation comes only through receiving the righteousness of Jesus Christ. This righteousness is imputed to the believer by grace through faith, and once imputed can never be lost.
Article V:
We believe there are only two scriptural ordinances; Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Baptism - Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience, symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Jesus Christ. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. We are commanded by Christ to baptize believers.
Lord's Supper - The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the Church through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
We believe there are only two scriptural officers of the New Testament Church, the Pastor and Deacon.
Article VI:
We believe in the final bodily resurrection of all men, both lost and saved. The saved will be raised to everlasting life and those who are lost will be raised to everlasting condemnation. We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of all those who by repentance, and through faith have committed themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His pre-millennial return to physically, gloriously reign upon the earth.
Article VII:
We are Baptists because we believe that Baptists stand for distinctive truths to which other denominations do not adhere. We believe that we cannot compromise these truths without being disloyal to our Lord and to His Word. We do seek to cooperate with all others who are committed to Jesus Christ as Lord.
The establishment of the Casey Creek Baptist Bible Institute (CCBBI), by the Casey Creek Baptist Church, Chesnee, SC, is the result of God placing in the heart of Pastor Gary G. Adkins the burden for the need of such an institute. On September 5, 1993 this institution was established by unanimous vote of the church with the pastor being the president.
The purpose of Casey Creek Baptist Bible Institute is to provide a basic training center for men who have surrendered to preach. The training of these men is designed to meet their needs in the particular fields of preaching and pastoral ministry. We will encourage those who complete their studies here to seek, if they have the opportunity, to further their education in other schools of higher learning. Our faculty consists of dedicated instructors who are qualified in every aspect to teach in this Bible Institute.
We will also offer courses for lay people to enroll in. Upon completion of study they will receive a certificate of completion for that course.
